When a row is selected on a Network Object / Results Grid Window the network object it represents becomes selected. Selected
network objects are represented by a red box in the left hand column of
the grid.
Selecting rows
To select a whole row or rows in a Network Object /Results Grid Window:
- Click on the box on the left of the row.
- Press the left mouse button on the left of a row and drag the mouse with the left button held down to select a contiguous group of rows.
- Click on the left of a row and then, with the shift key held down, click on another column to select a contiguous group of rows.
- Click on the left of one or more rows with the ctrl key held down to select non-contiguous rows.
- Deselect rows by holding the ctrl key down and clicking on a row that is already selected.
To select the entire grid, click in the top left cell.
Working with selected objects
Once a selection has been made in the grid, the following operations can be carried out on the selected objects:

Some of the options described below only apply to certain windows.
- To copy the selection to the clipboard for pasting in another application (Microsoft Notepad, Microsoft Excel, etc), select Copy from the context menu.
- To copy the selected objects to the clipboard for pasting in another application (Microsoft Notepad, Microsoft Excel, etc), select Copy selected object(s) from the context menu.
- To sort the selection, select one of the Sort options. Please refer to the Sorting Network
Objects topic for further details.
- To filter the selection (filtering can only be applied to column data but not to rows), select the Filter option from the context menu. See Autofiltering Grid Data.
- To zoom to and highlight a selected object on the GeoPlan Window, select Select and find in GeoPlan from the context menu.
- To display the object properties window for the selected network object, select Properties from the popup menu. Alternatively, simply double clicking to the left of the row for that object.
- To open the Layer Theme Editor showing the theme for the selected column on the GeoPlan, select the Show theme for this field on the GeoPlan option.
Tip:
The three options above are valid when ONE object/result/row only is selected. If several are selected, ICMLive Operator Client will perform the operation for the first or the last object only.
- To freeze selected columns at the left hand side of the grid so that they are visible at all times, select Freeze Columns from the context menu.
- To display a graph, select the Display graph option from the context menu.
