To modify parametric bridge and tunnel components

You can use the Style Palette to copy and modify existing parametric bridge or tunnel components, or modify custom parametric components that you add as .IPT or .RFA files.

Note: InfraWorks also supports the use of parametric decorations for component roads and bridges. You can add, modify, or review parametric decorations in the City Furniture > Decorations folder within the Parametric Models tab of the Style Palette. See To import parametric decorations.
  1. Click Manage .

  2. Scroll down on the left side of the Style Palette, and click the Parametric Models tab.

  3. Double-click the Bridge or Tunnel catalogue to open it.

    You can add or modify parametric components in the Abutments, Deck, Foundations, Girders, Piers, or Tunnel Segments catalogues. You can also create a new catalogue if you want.

    Note: Click in the Catalogueue Editing section to add a new Catalog.
  4. Double-click the desired bridge component catalogue to open it. For example, to modify a parametric pier component, double-click the Piers catalogue.

  5. To modify an existing parametric bridge or tunnel component, select the style in the catalogue and click in the Style Editing section of the Style Palette.

    Note: You must copy an existing default parametric bridge or tunnel component instead of changing the original version. Click to duplicate an existing parametric component before modifying it.
  6. Attributes of the parametric model you have opened display in the Model Details, Part Sizes, and UI Appearance tabs of the Configure Parametric Models dialogue. A preview of the selected parametric bridge or tunnel component displays in the Preview pane.
