Spec View

The Spec View tool allows you to view, edit, and create submittals directly in AutoSpecs.

Review the image and the corresponding list to understand the key elements of the Spec View tool.



  1. The table of contents of the specification uploaded to the project: Expand specification headers to open up specific specification PDFs.
  2. The PDF of the selected specification: Here you can view the PDF, highlight submittals, and use the Smart Build tool to create or edit a submittal.
  3. Submittal and product data details: Here you can add, edit, merge, delete, download, and publish submittals. You can add, copy, delete, and export product data. You can also filter submittal data.
  4. The search bar: Use this to search for keywords in the left and right panels.
