Toolpath modifications allow you to make changes to toolpaths without needing to recalculate them. This is especially beneficial for modifying large toolpaths, which require longer recalculation times.

You cannot currently modify turning operations. You can modify most milling operations, except for the following:

Note: You cannot currently modify a toolpath that uses Wrap Toolpath, or that has Compensation Type set to In Control, Wear, or Inverse Wear.

In addition to the list above, the following operations cannot be modified with the Move Start Points modification because it requires the toolpath to have closed passes:

Note: You can use the Move Start Points modification on Spiral if you use the Concentric Circles option for Spiral Mode.

3D Adaptive Clearing and 3D Pocket Clearing can be modified after you enable corresponding option in Preferences > General > Manufacture > Optional Features.

When a Trim or Delete Passes modification requires new leads and links, the system avoids plunges into stock, but the result may not be efficient (for example, helical leads or full retraction links may be used). You can refine these further with the Leads and Links modification; that modification only considers the model, not the stock.

Note: Edits may result in unexpected moves through the stock. Simulate and check the result carefully before use.
