Generative design workflow overview

This topic shows a quick overview of the generative design process.

1. Open or create the model.

   Open an existing model or create your model using Fusion modeling tools.

2. Enter the Generative Design workspace.

   Use the workspace switcher to access the Generative Design workspace.

3. (Optional) Modify a generative model in the Edit Model contextual environment.

   Make specific changes to the generative model. You can create bodies to represent preserve, obstacle, and starting shape geometries in a design problem.

4. Set up a generative study.

   Set up a design problem and specify the requirements for your generative study.

5. Generate outcomes.

   Generate outcomes that satisfy the design requirements specified in your generative study.

6. Explore outcomes.

   Explore outcomes, using tools that help you identify the optimal outcome.
