Standard results in electronics cooling

The results generated in an electronics cooling simulation enable you to determine whether your design is viable, or whether it is likely to overheat and fail. The results tell you the temperature that the various components are likely to reach, and how heat sinks and fans that you model might impact these temperatures. Standard results are presented as individual Results and as Combined Results.

Result name Example Shows... Access
Maximum Thresholds max thresholds The components with temperature thresholds assigned in the study setup, and how close they are to the maximum temperature thresholds. Browser
Component Temperature component temperature The temperature of all the components in the Simulation model. Browser
Air Temperature air temperature The temperature of the air surrounding all the components in the model enclosure. Browser
Air Velocity max thresholds The direction and velocity of the air moving in the model enclosure. Browser
Air Velocity + Component Temperature max thresholds Both the direction and velocity of the air moving in the model enclosure, and the temperature of the model components. Browser
Air Temperature + Component Temperature max thresholds Both the temperature of the model components, and of the air surrounding them. Browser
