Guided results in injection molding simulation

Guided results are generated at the end of the Packing & Cooling phases of the injection molding cycle. Guided Results answer the fundamental questions of an injection molding simulation - under the study conditions provided,

Guided results interpret the data and provide you with the answers. In addition, depending on the result analysis, Guided Results provide you with suggestions for steps you can take to improve the results.

Result name Example Shows... Access
Fill fill confidence How well the cavity will fill under the defined study settings. Guided Results command on the Results Toolbar
Visual defects guided defects How likely the part is to have sink marks and weld lines, which may affect the appearance and structural integrity of the part. If you have defined aesthetic faces, this result enables you to differentiate between all faces and aesthetic faces. Guided Results command on the Results Toolbar
Warpage warp tolerance How much you part might warp, and where warpage is likely to occur. You can uses sliders on the legend to adjust the warpage tolerance to meet your design specifications. Guided Results command on the Results Toolbar
Flatness flatness tool How flat a specified face is, relative to flat plane. This result helps you understand how well the part is likely fit against the matching component in an assembly. Drop-down option above the legend
