Uploading Content

In A360, you can add content by uploading folders, files, or by creating Wiki pages. You can also create new folders at the project root level and within other folders.

To upload content

  1. On the Projects Page, click the project you want to upload content to. If uploading content to a folder in the project, open the folder.
  2. Do one of the following:
    • Drag and drop the item into the content area of the project or a project folder.
    • Note: Your content will be uploaded.
    • Click the dropdown button on the Upload button. Continue to step 3.
  3. Select File or Folder.
  4. Browse to and select the item you want to upload.
  5. Click Open.

To upload an Assembly

  1. On the Projects Page, navigate to the project or folder you want to upload content to.
  2. Click Upload > Assembly.
  3. Browse to and select the folder that contains the assembly.

    The Upload Assembly dialog opens. A360 auto-detects a parent file based on the file formats available within the folder. This file shows in the Select parent file drop down. To override the selected parent, open the drop down and select a different parent file.

  4. Click Upload.

    A360 will upload a single composite assembly. When you open the Assembly in A360 Viewer, you will be able to browse through the assembly structure by clicking the options on the top left. Some of these are Scene, Sheets, and Model. When you click one of these, the model browser opens. You can select parts or search for parts within this browser.

To upload content from Dropbox

  1. On the Projects Page, click the project and if needed, the folder you want to upload content to.
  2. Click the dropdown button on the Upload button > From Dropbox.
    Note: If you are not already signed in to Dropbox, you will be prompted to sign in.
  3. Sign in.
  4. Browse to the file you want to upload.
    Note: You cannot upload folders from Dropbox.
  5. Click Choose.

To create a new folder

  1. Open the project and if needed, the folder in which you want to create the new folder.
  2. Click New Folder, enter a name for the folder > Create.
