To Convert All Text Strings of a Drawing to Another Language (AutoCAD Mechanical Toolset)

This help page uses the example of translating a drawing containing English text into German. You can use the same procedure for other languages.

1. Click Annotate tabText panel drop-downLanguage Converter. Find
2. In the Online Translation dialog box, select ENU English as the source language and DEU German as the destination language.
3. Click Translate. Translation begins. If AutoCAD Mechanical toolset encounters a phrase that cannot be translated (a phrase that doesn't exist in any of the multi language dictionary files), the Online Translation Warning dialog box appears.
   • In the Destination String box, type the translation of the phrase and click Yes. NOTE: To store the translation in a custom multi language dictionary file, click New Rule. The rule is stored in a file that has the same name as your drawing, but with the MLD file extension.
4. Once translation is complete, the Online Translation Information dialog box appears. Click OK.

The German translations are inserted into the drawing.
