Arnold "light filters" are arbitrary shaders that can modify a light's output based on distance, position, or other factors. This makes it easy to extend the built-in light sources with additional effects.
The following light filters are available:
Creating Light Filters
Since light filters are shaders, to add a new light filter, you have to create a new Arnold Material. Go to the Material Manager and select Create > Arnold > Light filter from the menu. Then drag and drop the material to the light filter list.

Light Blocker
Use geometry
If enabled an Arnold Light Blocker Geo object is added to the scene which allows you to easily setup object transformation and gives visual feedback of the geometry in the viewport. All geometry parameters are exported from this object. You can also assign a material to the object.
Geometry
An Arnold Light Blocker Geo object which represents the geometry of the light blocker filter.
