Analysis Data Tab (Channel Properties Dialog Box)

Use this tab to define the structural connections that will contribute to the drainage analysis calculations.

Inlet. Specifies the structural inlet to the channel. Select from the drop-menu of available inlets, or click to manually select an inlet from the drawing.

Outlet. Specifies the structural outlet from the channel. Select from the drop-menu of available outlets, or click to manually select an outlet from the drawing.

Hydraulic Properties

Manning Coefficient. Specifies the resistance to flow caused by the roughness of the material of a channel.

Entry Loss Coefficient. Specifies the fraction of velocity head lost as water enters a drainage channel.

Exit Loss Coefficient. Specifies the fraction of velocity head lost as water exits a drainage channel.

Average Loss Coefficient. Specifies a simplified average of estimate total velocity head losses in a channel.
