Edit and Update Files

You can open and edit a file directly from your Drive, using the Desktop Connector application. If you're editing files in a directory that's connected to Drive, your changes will be automatically synced to Drive.

If you have Desktop Connector, you'll also have the option to Edit on Desktop. This lets you open files for editing directly from the Drive Web interface. You don't have to manually download the file, locate it with your app of choice, then manually re-upload afterwards -- it's all handled for you!
