  • Supported resolution: broadcast resolutions, including DCI variants up to DCI 4K (4096 x 2160).
  • Supported frame rate: broadcast frame rates, up to 60 fps. 48 fps is not supported.

Flame Family supports up to 12G links.

AJA SDI HDR signaling

Flame Family supports AJA SDI HDR signaling. Also known as Video Payload Identifier (VPID), it allows you to define the SDI signaling for HDR video signal, so monitoring solutions that support this ancillary data automatically set the right display mode.

You set AJA SDI HDR signaling in Preferences Broadcast Monitor with the following options:

  • Colorimetry: Rec.2020, Rec.709
  • Transfer: PQ, HLG, SDR
  • Luminance: YCbCr, ICtCp
  • RGB Range: Legal range, Full range
Note: These options are independent from the Broadcast Colour Space options. You must still select matching colour space options to display the expected results. For example, if you set RGB Range to Full Range, you must also set Broadcast Colour Space to Full Range.

AJA SDI HDR signal is available for the following AJA card models:

  • AJA Kona X
  • AJA Kona 4
  • AJA Kona 5
  • AJA T-Tap Pro
  • AJA Io 4K Plus
  • AJA Io X3

AJA SDI HDR signal is supported by many display vendors, including the following:

  • Sony: PVM-1800, PVM-X2400, PVM-X3200
  • Canon: DP-V2420
  • Flanders Scientific Inc.: XM312U, XM652U
