Getting Started with Docs Permissions Audit
The Docs Permissions Audit provides a toolset for auditing and editing Autodesk Docs permissions on project folders in an intuitive tabular interface.
Why Use Docs Permissions Audit?
This tool helps ensure project folder permissions are:
- Correctly configured to match organizational policies.
- Transparent and manageable for project administrators.
- Efficiently reviewed and updated in bulk.
Select an Account

NOTE: Only accounts accessible to the Service user will appear in the dropdown.

NOTE: Only projects where you have Project Administrator permissions will appear in the dropdown.
View Folder Permissions
After selecting a project, a tabular display will appear showing all folders in the project that have explicit permissions assigned. The table displays permission levels (e.g., View, Create, Edit) based on how folders were provisioned in Autodesk Construction Cloud. Permissions may be assigned to specific roles, users, companies, or groups.
Key Features:
- Permissions for each folder are displayed in separate columns.
- The number of permissions identified for each folder is also shown.
When you select a folder, a side panel will open with more detailed permission information and management options.
