Known Issues

Search: Special Characters and Search Results Sorting

Issue: Search keywords containing special characters (+, -, &, |, !, (, ), {, }, [, ], ^, ", ~, *, ?, :, , /) may not result in exact matches.

Behavior: The search will return partial matches instead of exact matches when special characters are included in the query. The search results are sorted to prioritize the most recent documents, with exact or partial matches in the title appearing first, followed by only exact matches in the content.

Search: File Extension Contents Currently Indexed

Issue: Searching by content for Revit parameters currently does not yield the required results.

Behavior: Searching by content is functional for common file types such as docs, Excel, and PDF. For other supported file types, please refer to

Service User/Indexing: Service User Changes

Issue: Changing the service user will not lead to a refresh in the indexed data.

Behavior: The refresh in the indexed data will only occur during the next indexing cycle. Expect a delay in the update of indexed data when the service user is changed.

Docs Permission Audit

All entities—Roles, Company, and User—retain the highest inherited permission allocated to them. Attempting to use Docs Permission Audit to lower their permission level will result in an error.

Known Issues in Information Registry

In the interest of having a consistent experience and collecting consistent feedback, the Information Registry Template used is limited in the default metadata associated with records, milestones, and work units. Only default milestone types and target sets have been defined.

The automation opportunities that should be controlled via the Information Registry Template have been limited to the validity of references assigned to records and the completion of predefined fields for the work units.

  • Projects Not Showing: The Information Registry is a separate service with its own database, and when the user logs in for the first time, it might not recognize them, preventing the loading of any projects the user has access to. Clicking on the Refresh button connects to Autodesk Construction Cloud and downloads the list of accounts and projects in which the Information Registry service has been enabled.

  • Record Naming Conventions: The Information Registry does not enforce any type of naming convention and relies on Autodesk Construction Cloud capabilities.

  • Record Duplication: When creating the records by importing an external source (spreadsheet), there is no check in place to prevent the user from creating duplicate records or assigning a reference to more than one record.

  • Work Unit Checks: When a work unit is selected from the table, its metadata is displayed in the right panel. In the background, the system performs hardcoded checks regarding the completeness of the data. When the user hovers over the flag icon, the tooltip lists which checks have failed and why. When the user takes action to correct those checks, the number of issues and the content of the tooltip do not immediately change. This is because the checks are “expensive” operations in nature. The user might address multiple issues at once, and firing the checks every time the user makes a change to the metadata can hinder performance. Clicking on the Refresh button next to the flag icon manually triggers the checks.

  • Customization: In the service’s current version, the customization settings for the Information Registry objects are not present. In particular, the Information Registry Template is defined as a default, the target sets are hardcoded, the records, milestone types, milestones, and work units have a minimum set of attributes, and the work units’ checks are hardcoded.

  • Navigation: In the current release, when switching between registries, the URL stays the same and doesn’t show the project ID that the user is navigating to. This affects the possibility of sharing a link with other stakeholders to point to a specific view project within the Information Registry module.

  • Access error:Some users may experience an issue when accessing the Information Registry from their favorite browser. To avoid this, users can try accessing from a different browser or use an incognito session.
