To display buildings in a single color
Display all buildings, whether imported or sketched, with a single color and a uniform appearance.
In some cases, a real-world visualization may obscure information an engineer or architect wants to highlight. For example, you may want to show the shapes of buildings, but with plain color (like white) instead of using their facade and roof materials. This presentation allows other details, such as a proposed transportation corridor, to be the predominant visual.
There are two options for overriding the color of model assets. You can use one method or both methods, depending on your model data.
- Use the Override All Materials configuration option to change imported assets in a 3D model data layer
- Edit properties of selected assets created in the model, such as buildings
