Import Manhole Surveys from MSCC XML Dialog

This dialog is used when importing manhole survey data from MSCC (Manual of Sewer Condition Classification) XML format files.

It is displayed when Import | Import Manhole survey data | Import MSCC XML manhole survey data is selected from the Network menu.

Import

Select data to be imported:

  • Browse for the XML file to be imported. A standard Open dialog will be displayed. Multiple files may be selected by using the CTRL and SHIFT keys.
  • The flag selected in the Flag for imported fields dropdown will be used to flag fields containing data brought in by the importer.

Generate IDs From

Set option for generating Manhole Survey IDs:

  • Manhole/Node reference, Date and Time
  • Manhole/Node reference, and an index if needed for uniqueness: if the generated ID is longer than 40 characters, the ID will be truncated. An index number will be added to the end of the ID to preserve uniqueness where appropriate.

Duplicate IDs

Set an option for importing surveys with duplicate IDs:

  • Do not import duplicate survey: surveys with duplicate IDs will not be imported. These surveys will be reported in the import log.
  • Overwrite existing objects: objects with duplicate IDs will overwrite existing objects.
