What's New in Version 2025.1

The following list provides the features and improvements in the 2025.1 version of the InfoWater Pro® software application.

For a list of the latest features and improvements in the current release, refer to What's New.

Fire flow asset impact analysis

Asset Impact Reporting is now available from the Fire flow tab of the Run Manager. When active, result tables are generated to summarize the pipes with high velocities and junctions with low pressures based on the total aggregate of all simulated fire flows at hydrants.

This analysis provides helpful data when prioritizing which pipes need to be upsized, or which areas of the network are consistently acting as the critical node in limiting design fire flow.

Watch the video for an overview of the workflow, and refer to the Fireflow Run Results page to learn more about the newly available outputs.

Water Quality state file support

The Water Quality tab of the Simulation Options now provides options to save and initialize the model from a water quality state file. This is important in analyses like Water Age where networks can require a long ramp up period to achieve steady results. Using an initial state file, modelers can quickly iterate on solutions to reduce water age without needing to ramp up from zero each Run.

Pipe Split Candidates search performance

The pipe split candidates tool now processes finding candidates in a fraction of the amount of time from previous versions.

New Design Fireflow report field: Critical Node pressure at Design Flow

A new field has been added to the Design Fireflow report to specify the critical node pressure at design flow. This is especially helpful when you enforce a max velocity constraint. In such cases, the design flow may be restricted by velocity, leading to higher pressures at the critical node.

GIS Gateway performance is improvements

The GIS Gateway performance is improved when updating objects from GIS and including geometry changes.

Support for updating objects from GIS based on Reformatted GUID

Previously the GIS Gateway only supported creating new model objects from GIS based on reformatting GUIDs. Now, ongoing updates are supported between the GIS GUID and the model’s reformatted ID.
