To Analyze Curvature

  1. Click Inspect tab Analysis panel Curvature .
  2. (Optional) Under Definition, enter a custom name for the analysis.
  3. Specify the appearance of analysis results along each curve and edge of the selected geometry:
    • Comb Density . Specifies the spacing between spines.
    • Comb Scale . Specifies the scale (length) of the spines.
    • Surface Density . Specifies the density of the sample curves for the interior faces. A higher density means there are more curve sample locations along the surface.
  4. Under Selection, specify the geometry you want to analyze and, if necessary, select that geometry in the graphics window:
    • Faces. Lets you select faces in a solid or surface body.
    • Quilts. Lets you select surface features and faces.
    • Groups. (Construction environment only.) Selects faces in the selected construction groups.
    • Wires. (Construction environment only.) Selects imported wires.
  5. Set the Direction of the curvature comb display: Direction1 , Direction2 , or both.
  6. Click OK to analyze. Or, click Apply to analyze and keep the dialog box open, and then continue to change settings and revise the analysis as needed.
