Lock Set Reference

Creates a side lock or an interlock.

Access:
  On the Mold Assembly tab, click Lock Set.
Type

Type

Specifies the type of lock set from the drop-down list.

Lock Mold Base

Places lock sets that lock the mold base.

Lock Core and Cavity

Places an interlock that locks the core and cavity. Only an interlock can lock the core and cavity.

Base face

Specifies the top or bottom face of the mold base plate.

Note: For a Lock Mold Base, you can select only the top or bottom face of the mold base plates. For a Lock Core and Cavity, you can select only the face of the core and cavity that is parallel with the XY work plane.

Flip

Exchanges the place of the male lock and the female lock.

Reference 1

Specifies an edge from the selected base face. If Lock Core and Cavity are selected, you can select the XZ and YZ work planes of the selected core and cavity.

Flip

Reverses the direction of the reference face.

Reference 2

Specifies another edge from the selected base face. If Lock Core and Cavity are selected, you can select the XZ and YZ work planes of the selected core and cavity.

Flip

Reverses the direction of the reference face.

Distance

Defines the distance between the XZ work plane of the side lock and the center of the reference face.

Offset

Defines the offset of the side lock relative to the reference face.

Rotate

Defines the angle between the XZ work plane of the taper bar interlock and the YZ work plane of the mold base. You can enter an angle or select one from the drop-down list.

Symmetrical Placement

Creates a second lock set symmetrical with the first lock set.
