Currently displayed flood contour information can be exported to either MapInfo (MIF or TAB) or ESRI (SHP or ASCII grid ASC) files.
Note: Flood contour export is available for results of
on-premise simulations and full results of
cloud simulations.
To export flood contours:
- Open a simulation for replay.
Tip: If you have opened summary rather than full results for a cloud simulation, you can use the
button on the Replay Control toolbar to download full results.
- Load the appropriate ground model onto the GeoPlan window. This can be a TIN or Gridded ground model. However, you must load a Gridded Ground Model if you want to export flood contours to ASC format.
- Turn on the flood theme.
- Choose an option from the Export flood contours submenu of the Results menu.
Note: The option to export flood contours to ASC format will only be available when using a Gridded Ground Model.
- Choose where to save the exported file. (By default the files are called FloodContours.*)
The flood contour information currently displayed in the GeoPlan window will be exported.
The data can then be imported into the appropriate GIS system.
