Demand Area Data Fields

Demand Area data fields can be edited on the Demand Area Grid View or the Demand Area Property Sheet.

The following table describes all the Demand Area specific data needed to define a Demand Area.

Further information, including units details, about all the Network Object fields stored in the database can be found in the Network Data Fields topic.

The Property Page column shows which page of the property sheet displays the data. The pages are:

  1. Demand Area Parameters Page

  2. Demand Area Definition Page

  3. Demand Area Target Points Page

  4. Demand Area PM Areas Page

  5. Demand Area Live Data Usage Page

  6. Demand Area Flow/Pressure Page

  7. Demand Area Calculation Page

  8. Demand Area Demand/Leakage Page

  9. Demand Area Demand/Leakage Grid Page

  10. Demand Area Expected Leakage Page

  11. Notes Page

The Grid column tells you if the data item is available for editing in the grid view.

Note: Use the scroll bar at the bottom of the table to view its entire content.

Leakage Application

Method used to distribute leakage consumption across the Demand Area.

There are four options available:

Node

All nodes share an equal proportion of leakage consumption.

Leakage applied to node is calculated as:

Length of Pipe

Leakage is applied to nodes based on the length of mains associated to each node. Each node has half the length between itself and the adjoining node associated with it.

Leakage applied to node is calculated as:

Unprofiled Demand

This option divides leakage between all nodes in the Demand Area which have Unprofiled Demand category demand assigned. Demand is weighted by number of properties found at nodes with Unprofiled Demand category.

Total Connections

This option weights leakage at nodes based on the number of connections at the node.

Leakage applied to node is calculated as:
