This document lists bugs which have been fixed in InfoWorks WS Pro Version 2024.1
The fixes listed here are those that are viewed as likely to impact on users in an unexpected way, mainly changed simulation results, or differences in behaviour that might not be obvious.
Deleting objects in the tree: incorrect message when cancelling deletion
When deleting items from a cloud database and the operation was cancelled due to manual intervention, a dialog prompting the user that objects had been moved to the recycle bin was shown in error. This is fixed
GMR in Cloud
GMR runs in the cloud were not functioning correctly in version 2024.0. Test case would be the same as the base case. This did not affect GMR runs on desktop. This issue is fixed.
Copying runs with multiple simulations from a transportable database
A Base Simulation should appear at the head of the list of copies simulations but the copied order could be incorrect. This is fixed.
Export from WS Pro to EPANET (INP)
The EPANET (INP) export from WS Pro could produce unusable element IDs. This is fixed.
The EPANET exporter can now use Asset IDs instead of object IDs. Also, the IDs are shortened to 31 characters if necessary. The original object ID is shown as a comment on the end of each line if it has been changed.
Critical link analysis - warning about number of simulations
CLA can run in two modes - shutdown of individual pipes, or shutdown of isolation areas. There is a warning message, advertising the number of simulations that will occur. The number given for the isolation area mode was grossly inflated. This is fixed.
WS Pro Exchange
Network validation was not working in WS Pro Exchange. This is fixed.
Opening a Control in the GeoPlan
When opening a control with a network, an update check was not performed. This is fixed.
Now, if necessary a dialog will appear: "A more recent version of this Control exists. Would you like to get the most recent changes?"
Hydrant test runs in the Cloud
When using a cloud database, hydrant tests were performed on premise instead of in the cloud. This is fixed. The tests now run in the cloud.
Help pages ("No help available" page)
If there is no help topic, a No Help Available page appears. Inside this page are two links inviting you to provide feedback or contact Innovyze Support. The two links were showing "error 404" (page not found). This is fixed.
Live data feeds
Unit conversion from live data feeds with "l/hr" units were not working. This is fixed.
Themes
There was an issue with themes being applied on top of existing themes instead of replacing them. This is fixed.
License limit to network size (Autodesk SSO)
Autodesk SSO licenses were, incorrectly, experiencing a limit of 400,000 links. This is fixed.
CLA and GMR - cleaning result folders
For GMR and CLA runs, the summary file was removed when clearing unused files. This is fixed. The summary is retained when cleaning, but is still removed when deleting results.
Cloud simulations
An intermittent failure of simulations carried out in the cloud was identified in the 2024 version. The error message began "FAILED - Pre-processing failed" and continued with "Error 57 : Cloud request error : boost::filesystem::status: Access is denied [system:5]". This problem has been solved in 2024.1.
Multiple users on one PC
It is now possible for different users signed in to their Autodesk accounts to run WS Pro concurrently on one PC.
