Notes on rendering

When rendering objects from Bifrost in Maya, here are a few things to keep in mind.

Batch-rendering simulations

To render a sequence using Batch Render, the first frame of the simulation cannot be earlier than the first frame of the range to render.

As a workaround, you can run the simulation up to the first frame to render, and then render using Render Sequence. Alternatively, cache the simulation to files and render those.

This limitation applies only to Bifrost. Bifrost Fluids will automatically run up to the first frame to render if the simulation starts earlier.
