Fill or Flow results
This help topic specifies the results generated for analyses that include Fill, Fill+Pack, or Standalone Pack analysis sequences.
These results are generated for material with or without fiber or filler content.

Graphical results
The following table lists the graphical results that are created and indicates whether each result is supported by the following analysis technologies:
Midplane
Dual Domain
3D

Note: Thermoplastics overmolding analyses produce two sets of Fill analysis results, one for the first component and another for the overmolded component.
Important: For 3D compression molding analyses, the mesh is deformed inside the solver. The nodes/elements are moved up to the initial press position, and then move down as the press moves down. Those plots which are output several times during analysis, such as Pressure, Polymer fill region etc., are shown on the current (deformed) mesh position, and this is indicated in the relevant result description. For the rest of the plots, however, where data are output only once, the results are shown on the initial mesh at nodes in their pre-analysis position. Since the data may have been calculated when the node was at a quite different location, interpretation of the plots is subject to details of how the mesh is moved and smoothed. It is important that you understand this when interpreting the results.
1 | This result is available only when the option to Perform venting analysis is selected in the solver parameters. |
2 | The Flow rate, beams result will appear in any Fill analysis where 1-dimensional elements are modeled. |
3 | The Thermal conductivity tensor result is available only when the fiber orientation analysis is enabled and the option to Consider fiber effect on thermal conductivity is set to Yes. |
