Cooling channel optimization analysis
The Cooling channel optimization analysis optimizes the positions of existing cooling channels defined within a geometry to improve cycle time and part quality.

Starting with an existing cooling circuit layout, during a Cooling channel optimization analysis, the software automatically determines where the cooling is too effective (too close to the part) or ineffective (too far away from the part) and moves the cooling channel away from or closer to the cavity, as appropriate. To ensure the structural integrity of the mold, the software ensures that the cooling channels maintain a safe distance from each other, the cavity and the mold boundaries.
How it works
When you launch a Cooling channel optimization analysis, a new study is automatically created in the Project View pane. When the Cooling channel optimization analysis is complete, the results, including the optimal channel layout and a completed Cool analysis, are associated with the newly created study.
