Export to SDZ (Scalaris Zip format)

Export to SDZ is the common interface format for exporting a Moldflow mesh with all the required results for a comprehensive structural analysis based on as-molded material anisotropy. You can export to SDZ from Synergy or via the command line. The interface supports:

• 3D or Midplane meshed model

• A single cavity mesh

  Note: Cavity beam elements will be ignored.

The Moldflow mesh with the relevant as-molded material properties and stresses from the molding simulation is converted and saved in Scalaris format. This interface uses the following Moldflow results to provide data for the structural analysis at an elemental level:

• Fiber Orientation/Flow Direction
• Initial Stresses
• Mechanical properties
• Thermal Expansion coefficients
• Solid Density For fiber filled, crystalline materials and semi-crystalline with non-uniform stiffness behavior, this interface significantly enhances accuracy of the structural analysis.
