Pre-requisites for Network Licenses
Note: If you are using a Named User license, there is no need to install the Autodesk Licensing Service.
The Autodesk Licensing Service must be installed either on your local machine or on a remote machine on your network. This service can be installed with the Autodesk Moldflow Insight License Configuration package.
Pre-requisites for Named User Licenses
You need unrestricted access to the following domain:
- .api.autodesk.com (listens on port 443)
Steps
Remove any existing installation, such as a workstation installation of Moldflow Insight or Simulation Compute Manager, from the machine and delete or remove
/var/opt/Autodesk/SimulationCompute/vX/config
(where X should be replaced with SCM major release). To uninstall and delete or remove this file, you would need root access.Run the self-extracting installer shell script from a directory of your choice.
$ sh install-thinclient-autodesk-moldflow-insight-2021.0.0-glibc2.17.sh -- [options] <directory> [(licensing-service-host licensing-service-port)]
Options:
-f, --force Install even if libc is too old, or if dependencies are not met.
-d, --create-directory Do not ask for confirmation if installation directory does not exist.
Parameters:
- directory: install location (as in previous releases)
- licensing-service-host: hostname/IP address of your Autodesk Licensing Service (Network Licenses only)
- licensing-service-port: port number of your Autodesk Licensing Service (Network Licenses only)`
Note: You can find the license server and port number in
/var/opt/Autodesk/AdskLicensingService/AdskLicensingService.data
