Organizing Files in Vault

While you can perform essential vault functions using the Autodesk Vault add-in, you must use the Autodesk Vault client for file maintenance and administrative tasks.

When working with Autodesk Vault, it is important to understand that the way you currently have your files organized may not be suited for a vaulted environment. The very nature of a data management system requires that some planning be done to optimize file access and organization.
