Work with Search Sets
Save a Search Set
- Open the Find Items window, and set up the desired search criteria.
- Click the Find All button to run the search. All items that satisfy your criteria are now selected in the Scene View and the Selection Tree.
- Open the Sets window and click Save Search
.
- Type a name for your search set, and press ENTER.
Rename a Search Set
- Open the Sets window.
- Right-click the desired search set, and click Rename.
- Type a new name for your set, and press ENTER.

Delete a Search Set
- Open the Sets window.
- Click the search or selection set you want to remove and click Delete
.
Organize Search Sets into Folders
Open the Sets window.
Click New Folder
. The folder is added to the list.
If the item selected is a folder, then the new folder is created inside it, otherwise it is added above the selected item. You can have as many folders as you like.
Type a name for your folder, and press ENTER.
Tip: Use names that can help you to identify your sets in future.Click the set that you want to add to your new folder. Hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse to the folder name. Release the mouse button to drop the set into the folder.
Tip: You can also drag the folders themselves, together with their contents.
Update a Search Set
- Open the Find Items window, and run a new search.
- Open the Sets window.
- Right-click the search set you want to modify, and click Update.
Export Search Sets
- Open the Sets window.
- Click Import/Export
.
- Select Export Search Sets, and use the Export dialog box to browse to the desired folder.
- Enter a name for your file, and click Save.
Import Search Sets
- Open the Sets window.
- Click Import/Export
.
- Select Import Search Sets.
- Use the Import dialog box to browse to the folder containing the file with the search sets, and select it.
- Click Open.
