Let us open A-axis_table
and C-axis_table
in PowerShape. Then you can create new Local Coordinate System (LCS number 1) at X=0
Y=0
Z=0
. This coordinate system duplicates the Global Coordinate System (GCS).
Note: In PowerShape, it is important to have the correct position of the activated coordinate system.
Then you must create some simple geometry (a line or an arc, for example) where you can easily identify the exact location for the centre of rotation:
We can change the X value to 0 to move the arc to the centre of the table or just ignore it and keep it zero in the *.mtd. As a result, we get the centre of rotation of C-axis_table.
Note: In some cases, it is difficult to specify the correct position of the machine part (for example: poor quality geometry machine, wrong machine assembly). Use the specification of the machine tool to find the correct solution.
