Finding out if a value uses parameters

You can find out if a value uses parameters in one of the following ways:

  • A value that is defined with a parameter or expression is indicated by the use of = in addition to the value.
  • Hover your cursor over a text box on a dialog to display the tooltip. If the value is parametric, the tooltip displays the expression containing the parameters. A parametric value is one that remembers the parameters used to define it. When the value of any parameter is changed, the parametric value updates automatically.

The following are examples of where parametric values exist on dialogs:

    • Solid Cut
    • Solid Boss
    • Primitive Solid
    • Primitive Surface
    • Solid Extrusion
    • Solid Fillet
    • Solid Bulge
    • Solid Thicken
    • Solid Chamfer
    • Solid Hole
    • Solid Hollow
    • Surface Extrusion
    • Chamfer Editor
    • Active Dimensions
