Use the options in the Visibility panel to control the visibility of objects in the graphics window.
Blanking
Use the options on the Blanking menu to set the parts of the model to blank (temporarily undraw). Select from:
- Blank Selected — This allows you to temporarily remove selected objects from the screen.
This command is useful when you want to temporarily remove some objects from view and using the Levels toolbar is not appropriate. This is because a level may contain objects you don’t want to be hidden, or changing the levels may affect the model’s logical structure.
The blanked objects are not deleted, but are hidden and can be unblanked when required. This allows you to concentrate on the objects you need to work on without being hindered by others close by.
- Blank Except — This option blanks all objects on the screen apart from those which are selected.
This allows you to remove everything except the selected objects from view. They are not deleted, but are hidden and can be unblanked when required. This allows you to concentrate on the objects you need to work on without being hindered by others close by.
- Blank Toggle — This option blanks all visible objects and unblanks all previously blanked objects.
Unblank
This option displays all objects that were previously blanked.
All blanked objects are displayed and selected. If you want to unblank only a few objects, deselect them using Shift+Click, and re-blank the remaining selected objects using View tab > Visibility panel > Blanking > Blank Selected.
