Create a parametric cope on intersecting structural beams with a related connection between the beams.
To create a parametric cope
- Click Steel tab
Parametric Cuts panel
(Cope).
- Select the intersecting elements to cope.
- Press
<Enter>.
The cope is created and the sub-connection between the framing elements displays as a dashed-lined box.
You can click on the diamond symbol under the numbered label to change the element cut by the cope tool.
- Select the sub-connection box to access its properties in the Properties palette.
Steel fabrication cope cuts are only visible when the Detail Level of the view is set to Fine.
