Edit System-Zones

After system-zones are created, you can edit them by editing the sketch of a sketch-based zone or adding or removing spaces from a zone created by space.

Edit a System-Zone By Sketch

To edit a system-zone sketch.

  1. In a plan view, double-click the system-zone, or select the system-zone and click Modify | System-Zones tabMode panel (Edit Zone).
  2. Use sketching tools to change the boundaries of the system-zone.
  3. Click Finish Edit Mode.

Edit a System-Zone By Space

To edit a system-zone by space

  1. Select an existing zone, and click Modify | System-Zones tabMode panel (Edit Zone).
  2. Click Analyze tab Zoning panel By Space .
  3. In the Edit Zone mode you can add or remove spaces from the system-zone.
    • Add Space - Click Edit Zone tabMode panel (Add Space).
    • Remove Space - Click Edit Zone tabMode panel (Remove Space).
    If you are adding/removing a single space to the zone, place the cursor over a space, and after the space highlights, click to add/remove the space to/from the zone.

    To add/remove multiple spaces to/from a zone draw a selection box around the spaces being added/removed, or press CTRL while selecting spaces one at a time.

  4. Click (Finish Editing Zone).
  5. Note: To convert a space-based system-zone to a sketch-based system-zone, select the zone and click Modify | System-Zones tabMode panel (Convert to Sketch-Based).
