To manage a link in the model, select it in the Manage Links dialog, and use an appropriate tool.
You can select multiple links to modify by pressing Ctrl and clicking on the number of the link in the dialog. The following tools are available.
- Save Markups. Saves changes to imported DWF markups.
- Reload From. Changes the path of the link if the linked file has been moved. See Re-establish Unresolved References.
- Reload. Loads the latest version of the linked file. You can also close the model and reopen it, and the linked file is reloaded.
- Unload. Removes the display of the linked file from the model but maintains the link.
- Import. Embeds the file into the model. This option is not available for linking Revit models.
- Add. Links a Revit model, IFC file, CAD file or topography to the model, and places an instance in the current view.
- Remove. Removes a linked file from the model. The link can only be restored by inserting it as a new link.
- Located In. Lists the sheet that contains the DWF markup import symbol.
- Preserve graphic overrides. Maintains any graphic overrides on DWG, DXF, and DGN links, when the links are reloaded.
- Reference Type drop-down. Specifies whether this nested linked model is shown (Attachment) or hidden (Overlay) when the host model is linked into another model. See Show or Hide Nested Models.
- Path Type drop-down. Specifies whether a model’s file path is Relative or Absolute. The default is Relative.
