Takeoff Reports

This topic includes information about the Reports tool in Autodesk Takeoff.

The Reports tool in Takeoff allows you to create the following types of reports:

Takeoff Inventory Report

The Takeoff Inventory Report is a customizable report that contains selected takeoff data from your inventory, presented as an XLSX or PDF file.

When creating an inventory report, you can choose which fields you want to include in your report. You can also control the order of those fields. You can also toggle on the Save to Files option to save your report to a desired folder in the Files tool.

Filter the selected inventory data to only report takeoff data by:

  • Classification 1
  • Classification 2
  • Document
  • Location
  • Output Name
  • Package
  • Takeoff Type
Tip:

Click to add an additional filter. Click Reset to clear all applied filters.

Sort the inventory data for the report in ascending order or descending order by:

  • Classification 1
  • Classification 2
  • Document
  • ID
  • Instances
  • Location
  • Package
  • Quantity

Under Options for your report, you can include the following:

  • Cover page - Details about the report, such as organization logo (if desired), project and report name, created on/by, total items, group/sort/filters applied, report currency (if applicable)

    Example:

  • Cost data - If cost is included for your takeoff, include in the inventory report

  • Takeoff instances - Show each takeoff instance in the inventory report

Select takeoff data fields to display in your report. You can include or exclude any of the following fields (if available):

  • Classification
  • Description
  • Instances
  • Code
  • Quantity
  • Unit
  • Unit cost
  • Total cost
  • Location
  • Document
  • ID
  • Package

Takeoff Type Inventory Report

The Takeoff Type Inventory Report is a customizable report that combines takeoff type data and output quantities into a single row format. This report provides a consolidated view of your takeoff data, presented as an XLSX file.

When creating the Takeoff Type Inventory report, you can toggle on the Save to Files option to save your report to a desired folder in the Files tool.

Filter the selected inventory data to only report takeoff data by:

  • Classification 1
  • Classification 2
  • Document
  • Line Item Name
  • Location
  • Package
  • Takeoff Type
Tip:

Group your report data by:

  • Classification 1
  • Classification 2
  • Document
  • Location

Sort the inventory data for the report in ascending order or descending order by:

  • Classification 1
  • Classification 2
  • Document
  • Type ID
  • Instances
  • Location
  • Package
  • Primary Quantity

Under Options for your report, you can include the following:

  • Cover page - Details about the report, such as organization logo (if desired), project and report name, created on/by, total items, group/sort/filters applied, report currency (if applicable)
  • Hide grouping rows - Option to hide grouping rows in the report.

Select takeoff data fields to display in your report. You can include or exclude any of the following fields (if available):

  • Location
  • Primary Classification Name 1
  • Primary Classification Name 2
  • ID Takeoff Type Name
  • Takeoff Type Name
  • Height (inches)
  • Primary Output Quantity
  • Additional Output Quantities (Output 2, Output 3, etc.)
  • Takeoff Type Description
  • Document
  • Spec
