Data Standard Customization

Customize the Data Standard XAML to create your own unique Data Standard dialog.

Data Standard provides functionality to programmatically customize business logic, behavior, default values and UI. In addition, functionality to debug and trace the customization is available.

For the customization described in this section, Windows PowerShell is used. Use the embedded scripts in the Data Standard dialog to leverage features found in PowerShell. By doing so, you can further customize the Data Standard dialog so that value updates are automated.

Notes:

• To protect customized configuration files from overrides by Autodesk Vault installers, copy the source files to the respective location in the *.Custom subfolders. Apply your customizations to the copied configuration files. Data Standard automatically loads customized configurations if present.
• Customized configuration files will require a manual migration for each future major release. Refer to page Migrate Data Standard Customizations for the steps required to update according to each release.
