    Triplanar Projection Improvement (2022.1)

In 2022.1, Triplanar projection no longer create tiny UV islands for highly curved objects.

We added the Fewer Islands option to the UV Editor's Projection section. It reduces the number of islands for a UV layout, when using a Triplanar-based projection method, to improve texturing quality. This option is automatically enabled when in the Bake Light and Shadows module with UV Generation set to Triplanar & Layout, to create a Triplanar-based UV set.
