Unfold sheet metal bodies

1. In the Design workspace, on the Sheet Metal tab, select Modify > Unfold .

   Unfold mode is activated.

2. In the Canvas, select a stationary face.

3. Click individual highlighted bends to be unfold.

4. Optional: Check Select all bends to unfold all bends.

5. Click OK.

The unfolded sheet metal component displays in the canvas, an Unfold feature is added to the timeline, and unfold mode is active.

Refold sheet metal features

1. On the Sheet Metal tab, click Refold Faces.

The sheet metal component returns to its folded state and you exit unfold mode.

Tips

• Add features, like holes and extruded slots, to a sheet metal body while it is unfolded to create components that are easier to manufacture.
