New Setup
Setup is an important first step in starting your manufacturing process.
NC Program
Group toolpaths from multiple setups into a new combined NC Program.
New Folder
Creates folders to group operations. You can create separate folders for roughing, semi-finishing, and finishing operations.
New Pattern
Duplicates a single toolpath instance that can be used for multiple instances in the same part.
Manual NC
Adds operations to the NC output that are machine dependent.
Probe WCS
Creates a probing cycle to measure a geometric feature on the part, during machining.
Create Manufacturing Model
Creates a model for use in the Manufacture workspace that you can edit without affecting the original model in the Design workspace.

2D Adaptive Clearing
Creates a roughing operation that uses a more optimized toolpath that avoids abrupt direction changes.
2D Pocket
Creates a roughing operation that uses toolpaths parallel to selected geometry.
Face
Produces quick part facing to prepare raw stock for machining.
2D Contour
Creates toolpaths based on a 2D contour.
Slot
Mills a slot by following the slot center line of the slots.
Trace
Machines along contours with varying Z values and with, or without, left and right side compensation.
Thread
Use for thread milling cylindrical pockets and islands.
Bore
Use for bore milling of cylindrical pockets and islands by selecting the cylindrical geometry directly.
Circular
Use for milling cylindrical pockets and islands.
Engrave
Machines along contours with V-shaped chamfered walls.
2D Chamfer
Machines along contours creating a chamfered surface.
Manufacture > Milling > 3D
Adaptive Clearing
A roughing strategy available for clearing large quantities of material effectively.
Pocket Clearing
A conventional roughing strategy for clearing large quantities of material effectively.
Steep and Shallow
Creates a finishing operation that machines steep areas using Contour passes and shallow areas using Parallel or Scallop passes.
Parallel
A widely used finishing strategy, the passes are parallel in the XY-plane and follow the surface in the Z-direction.
Scallop
Creates passes at a constant distance from one another by offsetting them inwards along the surface.
Contour
This is the best strategy for finishing steep walls, but can be used for semi-finish and finish machining on the more vertical areas of a part.
Ramp
Creates a finishing operation intended for steep areas similar to the Contour strategy.
Pencil
Creates toolpaths along internal corners and fillets with small radii, removing material that no other tool can reach.
Horizontal
Automatically detects all the flat areas of the part and clears them with an offsetting path.
Spiral
Creates a spiral toolpath from a given center point, generating a constant contact as it machines within a given boundary.
Radial
Like Spiral machining, this operation also starts from a center point, providing you with the ability to machine radial parts.
Morphed Spiral
Generates the spiral from the selected boundary as opposed to Spiral which trims the generated passes to the machining boundary.
Project
A finishing strategy that allows you to machine along contours with the center of the tool.
Morph
Morph is a finishing strategy for machining shallow areas between selected contours with a consistent cutting direction.
Flow
A finishing strategy, which follows the isocurves of a surface, to machine parts with curved surfaces.

Drill
Provides access to a wide range of drilling, tapping and hole making operations, such as counterbores and countersinks.
Hole Recognition
Automatically finds hole features in any plane and creates drilling operations. Selects tools from user-specified tool libraries.

Rotary Pocket
A multi-axis roughing strategy that lets you clear large quantities of material on parts that are machined most efficiently when using the 4th machine axis.
Swarf
A multi-axis strategy for machining with the side of the tool.
Advanced Swarf
A multi-axis strategy that machines straight-sided walls with the side of the tool.
Multi-Axis Contour
A multi-axis strategy for machining with the tip of the tool along a given contact curve.
Rotary Parallel
A multi-axis machining strategy that lets you machine along and around a rotating axis.
Rotary Contour
A multi-axis finishing strategy that lets you machine steep walls on parts that are machined most efficiently when using the 4th machine axis.
Multi-Axis Finishing
Creates a finishing strategy to machine geometry such as curved floors or walls of pockets.

Trim Toolpath
Deletes an area of a toolpath that is inside or outside of a specified, closed boundary.
Delete Passes
Deletes an area of a toolpath that is specified by a selection type.
Replace Tool
Replaces the tool that a toolpath uses without needing to recalculate the toolpath.
Move Entry Positions
Moves the tool entry and exit positions on closed toolpath passes without needing to recalculate the toolpath.

Simulate
Simulates the movement of the tool along toolpaths, visualizes the change in stock material, and highlights collisions between tool and stock.

Simulates the movement of the machine and the tool along toolpaths, visualizes the change in stock material, and highlights collisions.
Holder
Shows the tool's holder, shaft, and flute in the canvas during simulation.
Shaft
Shows the tool's shaft and flute in the canvas during simulation.
Flute
Shows the tool's flute in the canvas during simulation.
Hide Tool
Hides the tool's holder, shaft, and flute in the canvas during simulation.
Machine
Shows or hides the machine tool in the canvas during simulation.
Toolpaths
Shows or hides the toolpaths in the canvas during simulation.
Stock
Shows or hides the stock in the canvas during simulation.
Regenerate Stock
Manually regenerates the stock to ensure it accurately matches the current position of the simulation.
Issues
Lists any errors or warnings found during the verification process, such as collisions.
Stock
Displays the distance between the model's surface and the stock.

Task Manager

Export Defaults
Exports a file with the default settings of the Manufacturing toolpath strategies.
Import Defaults
Imports previously saved default settings for all the toolpath strategies in the Manufacturing workspace.
Reset Defaults
Resets all of the parameter settings in the Manufacturing toolpath strategies to their built in defaults.

Turning Face
The face strategy is used for machining the front side of the part.
Turning Profile Roughing
The turning roughing strategy is used to remove the bulk of material from the part.
Turning Profile Finishing
The turning finishing strategy creates single or multiple cuts along the profile.
Turning Groove
The turning groove strategy is used for both roughing and finishing of the part using groove tools.
Turning Single Groove
The turning groove strategy is used for grooving at selected positions only.
Turning Thread
This strategy is used for turning threads. Both cylindrical and conical threads are supported.
Turning Chamfer
The turning chamfer strategy is used for chamfering sharp corners that have not been chamfered in the design.
Turning Part
This strategy is used for cutting off the part for machining on another spindle or once the part has been fully machined.
Turning Secondary Spindle Chuck
The secondary spindle chuck strategy is intended for automatic stock transfer between the two spindles.
Turning Secondary Spindle Return
The secondary spindle return strategy is intended for automatic stock transfer between the two spindles.

PreCheck

Opens the Results contextual environment for viewing a previously generated FEA (finite element analysis) mesh.
Results View
