Modify geometry in a border
Learn how to modify geometry in a border.
In the Drawing workspace, select the border, right-click, then select Edit border to enter the Border contextual environment.
Move border geometry
On the toolbar, select Modify > Move
.
Click to select geometry.
In the Move dialog, next to Transform, click Point to Point.
Click to specify the base point.
Click to specify the second point.
To move the same selection set again, click to specify a new base point, then click to specify a new second point.
Click OK.
Rotate border geometry
On the toolbar, select Modify > Rotate
.
Click to select geometry.
In the Rotate dialog, next to Transform, click Point to Point.
Click to specify the base point.
Click to specify the rotation angle.
To rotate the same selection set again, click to specify a new base point, then click to specify a new rotation angle.
Click OK.
Copy border geometry
On the toolbar, select Modify > Copy
.
Click or click and drag to select geometry.
In the Copy dialog, next to Transform, click Point to Point.
Click to specify the base point.
Click to specify the second point.
Click again to create an additional copy.
Click OK.
Trim border geometry
On the toolbar, select Modify > Trim
.
Click to trim geometry.
To extend geometry, press
Shift
, then click.To complete the Trim command, press
Enter
.
Extend border geometry
On the toolbar, select Modify > Extend
.
Click to extend geometry.
To trim geometry, press
Shift
, then click.To complete the Extend command, press
Enter
.
Offset border geometry
On the toolbar, select Modify > Offset
.
Click to select the geometry to offset.
Click to specify the Distance to offset.
Click again to offset the geometry again.
Click OK.
Delete border geometry
- On the toolbar, select Modify > Delete
.
- Click to select geometry.
- In the Delete dialog, click OK.
