Visibility of design sketches
You can include sketches from a design in a drawing or create a drawing that documents a design that only contains sketches.
Sketches from the design are displayed in the reference node.
Designs that include 3D components and sketches
When you create a drawing for a design that contains both 3D components and sketches, the sketches display in the browser, but they are hidden by default. If you want to display a sketch in a base view, you need to:
- Toggle visibility on for the sketch
- Orient the base view to display the sketch plane
For example, the base view Orientation setting must be set to Front for the following sketch:

Designs that only contain sketches
When you create a drawing for a design that only contains sketches, the sketches display in the browser, and they are visible by default. If you want to display a sketch in a base view, you need to:
- Orient the base view to display the sketch plane
For example, the base view Orientation setting must be set to Top for the following sketch:
