Tutorial conclusion: Quasi-static Event Simulation

In this tutorial you

  • Created a Quasi-static Event Simulation study to examine the strain and displacement experienced when a copper billet is crushed into a stationary plate
  • Defined the stationary body as a Rigid Body and applied Stainless steel as the material for the plates and copper for the Billet.
  • Applied constraints to all three components of the model
  • Applied a prescribed translation constraint to the Top Plate to define the motion, and suppressed self-contacts.
  • Solved the event simulation analysis to see how the copper Billet responds to the applied load.
