Supports Supports - Example Supports - Step by Step

To Create a new support:

  1. Ensure you have any ancillaries created for assignment of Support Bearer, Rods Fixings etc. Please view the Ancillary Creation Help Topic on how this can be achieved.
  2. Open the global Database and select Fittings > Specifications > Supports.
  3. Click the icon to create a new support and enter a Name and select the type from the drop down menu.
  4. Click the breakpoints option on gthe lower left of the dialogue to determine which ancillaries need to be linked across the 3 tabs. (Bearer, Rod and Top Fixings). A new breakpoint can be used to determine any differences due to strength or rating. Please view the Example which shows how multiple entries are used for varyiant sizes of ductwork.
  5. Apply the newly created Support to the Specification providing the spacing requirements needed between each quantity of support (length based). Please view the Specifications on how to configure spacings and other settings using Specifications for automatic selection at takeoff.
