Sketch Features

The first time you add a feature, you specify a style from the Select Style dialog box. When you add another feature of the same type, it uses the same style by default, but you can change it.

As you sketch, you can enter a specific value or drag to the desired size. Information about the feature size appears and updates. Values use the current unit of measure. You can move the value box by dragging it to a different location.

Note:

You can undo almost any change in a proposal or model that you made in the current session. Press Ctrl + Z to undo.

Sketch pipelines in a model or proposal. Pipelines are independent of terrain. They do not drape on the surface but are placed under it. You can adjust pipeline elevation offset settings or directly modify pipeline elevation.
To add or modify pipeline connectors
Sketch pipeline connectors in a model or proposal. Pipeline connectors can snap to the ends of pipelines.
To add or modify railways
Sketch railways in a model or proposal.
To add or modify planning roads
Use the standard InfraWorks 360 Add Roads tool sketch planning roads. Use Roadway Design InfraWorks 360 to sketch design roads. Design roads offer more precise control over geometry and grades.
To add or modify trees
Sketch an individual tree, stands of trees, or rows of trees in a model or proposal. Any type of 3D model style, including objects like street lights, cars, or safety cones can be used as trees.
To add or modify water areas and rivers
Sketch water features such as river or water areas in a model or proposal.
To add or modify points of interest (POI)
Sketch POIs in a model or proposal. Create an unassociated POI for an empty area, or associate a POI with an existing feature.
