To Create a Note Rule

Create material note rules that display useful information on the Notes tab of the Material Editor and in the work location block. For more information, see About Material Note Rules.

1. Click Configuration tabSetup panelManage Rules.
2. Expand the Material node and navigate to the type of feature with which to associate the note.

   For example, navigate to MaterialStructuralPoint and click Pole to add a note associated with poles in your drawing.

3. After selecting the material feature of interest, such as a pole, click Create Rule.
4. Click Add Rule and from the Rules list, click Add Note.
5. Next specify the Note Number and the Note.

   For example, Note Number: 1 and Note: [Model Name]. Where Model Name is an attribute of the material feature of interest.

When you insert the type of feature for which you have defined the note into your drawing, the Notes tab of the Material Editor displays the note you have defined.
