Prepare

The commands within the Prepare panel of the ribbon (or CommandManager) depend upon the CAD application within which you are using Autodesk Nastran In-CAD. The following two commands and are common to Nastran In-CAD for Autodesk Inventor and for SOLIDWORKS:

• Materials
• Idealizations

In addition, there are four model preparation commands that are available only when Nastran In-CAD is used within Inventor. The following four commands and associated dialogs are not applicable to SOLIDWORKS. These four Prepare commands are used for creating shell element parts from Inventor solid objects and for managing structural members created using the Inventor Frame Generator:

• Find Thin Bodies
• Midsurfaces
• Offset Surfaces
• Structural Members
