Use the component panel to select model objects. The tree panel displays all the model objects grouped by object and their management functions.
In the tree panel, model objects are grouped by Advance object: Bolts, Beams, Welds, etc. A small image depicts the content of the group. All the management functions refer to the model objects.
Create a new group
- Click
(New).
- Enter the name for the group.
- Click

- Select the .bmp file that contains the icon for the new group.
Modify group properties
- Select a group.
- Click
(Properties).
- Change the name of the group.
- Click
.
- Select the .bmp file that contains the new icon for the selected group.
Copy a model object
- Click
(Copy).
- Enter the name for the new model object.
The new model object can be moved to another group.
Note: The associated sub-styles are not copied with the model object.
Deep copy a model object
The deep copy function copies the selected model object and all associated sub-styles. The new model object can then be modified at any level, without changing the original.
- Select the model object to use as template.
- Click
(Deep copy).
- Enter the name for the model object.
The new model object can be moved to another group.
Delete a model object
- On the tree panel, select a model object to delete.
- Click
(Delete).
- In the warning box, click Yes to delete the model object.
Note: A model object referenced by at least one drawing style can only be deleted after the links are removed.
