Creating and modifying toolpaths

Toolpaths are paths along which a tool follows when manufacturing a product. Different toolpaths are available depending on what you are machining and how you are machining it. For example, PowerMill includes specific toolpaths for 3D area clearance, feature machining, drilling, turning, and more.

When creating a toolpath, you must specify:

When you have created toolpaths, you can simulate them. When the toolpaths are correct, you can save them and export the data, via a post-processor, to the machine tool to manufacture the product.

You can access many of the functions you need to create and modify toolpaths from the Toolpath tab on the ribbon.
